Amanda Fogg

May 7, 1994 - October 24, 2017

Amanda Faye Fogg, 23, of Conway died on October 24, 2017. Mandy was born on May 7, 1994 to William Jeffrey Fogg and Rhonda Moore Fogg in Forrest City, AR. Here Mandy describes her life in her own words- "I grew up in Forrest City, AR, located in the heart of the Delta. I went to high school about 15 miles down the road at Palestine-Wheatley High School, in a considerably smaller town than Forrest City. I graduated with only 30 other students, but I still consider myself to be very blessed by this small, yet personable, school. During my time as a Palestine-Wheatley student, I was captain of our basketball team, an active member of Future Teachers of America, yearbook editor, and a volunteer at the local animal shelter. I also held a steady job throughout the school year, and I graduated with a 3.8 GPA. During my senior year of high school, I knew I had start to applying to colleges, I had many places in mind. Strangely, UCA was not yet one of them. It wasn't until I went on a college prep trip with FTA that I fell in love with the UCA campus. Learning that they had one of the best education programs in the South just confirmed my decision. I was so pleased to receive my acceptance letter, and I never questioned my decision to attend. Upon moving to Conway to attend UCA, I began enjoying the "big city" life: becoming involved in a local ministry, working at Walmart pharmacy, and experiencing new opportunities that had not yet been offered to me." The above information is copied from a Personal Narrative that Amanda had to write for a class. Mandy is survived by her parents Jeff and Rhonda and her half-sister Melissa Fogg. A memorial service will be held Monday, November 6, at 6:00 p.m. in Mashburn Hall Room 103 on the UCA campus. Mandy's greatest joy was working with children, but she was also passionate about animals. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Mandy's name to your local animal shelter or the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Arrangements handled by Bishop-Crites Funeral Home in Greenbrier.
